I recently switched my iPhone to Push Email and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Now it doesn’t work and I’m frustrated by not being able to understand what the problem is and how to get it fixed.
Here is my Problem with Push Email
- I received several emails in my Google Apps account
- They show up in my Google Apps web mail
- But they don’t show up on my iPhone (there was no push notification)
- I can’t even manually receive those email’s on my iPhone (not good)
- However I can send email from my iPhone
- And yet Calendar sync is not affected
I tried several things. Here are a few:
- Turning the iPhone off and back on again several times
- Turning off Push and then turning it back on
- Doing a soft boot of my iPhone
- Reading everything I could find online
Where is the Solution for Broken Push Email?
Between Apple and Google there doesn’t seem to be sufficient help documentation online to address problems with the iPhone email setup with Microsoft Exchange to get push email. And if you don’t check your web mail with your computer browser, you might not realize your iPhone isn’t receiving email.
I posted a question on the Google Mobile Help Forum: iPhone Push Email Not Working. Now I’m waiting for someone at Google to take notice and give some kind of response. Several people have this same problem right now and have posted comments.
